I’d never been to this area of the Roman forum before and it is really outstanding. You can see all of the ruins from here and there is a lovely garden with oranges near by that is very quaint.Full review by CrisH653

All tickets are free with the purchase of a coliseum ticket! Coliseum tickets are free for kids eighteen and under. Unless you are purchasing a specific ticket like the coliseum underground or a super ticket that includes extra closed spaces. But the more exclusive colosseum tickets still come with free entree into Palentine Hill!
We visited the Colosseum on Thursday (yesterday) and was planning to go back to explore Palatine Hill today, but after a series of unfortunate events, we arrived after the admission gate closed. I know tickets are valid for two consecutive days, but has anyone ever tried to use the ticket on the third day with any luck? Just trying to visit tomorrow (Saturday) without paying again. Thanks in advance!

I haven't tried that but I do know that you don't get what you don't ask for :) I recommend going early in the morning before the line is long and the admissions staff is harried. Let them know what happened and ask for their help. Start with some Italian if you can -- "excuse me, please, would you help us with a problem?" is always good to know. "mi scusi, per favore, ci aiuteresti con un problema?" In case you don't speak Italian, please know that "ci" is pronounced "cha" like in "chair". good luck! Enjoy!
Hi, I have just visited palatine hill and accidentally came out of an exit by a church the colosseum. We never got to visit the Roman forum! Can I go back later on today with the same ticket? Thanks
