Weather predictions, which are really not accuare beyond 3 days, say that October is slated to be sunny and warmer than last October. And yes, Ithaca weather is always a crap shoot. that said we are already having the warm to very warm days and cool nights that usually produce gorgeous October colors. Bring your umbrella and enjoy the spectacle --colors are lovely even when its grey.

Obviously the gardens are different in late October than they are during the summer, but still worth seeing. And the arboretum boasts a great variety of trees, many of which will undoubtedly be showing off their fall colors at that time. There are also overlooks that provide beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. The Cornell campus and Ithaca itself are worth visiting in the fall.
