A very special place, this church is where the monk Thomas Merton had a mystical experience during Mass. An amazing place to visit. Never too crowded, so take your time.Full review by S9582GIdeand

When we visited Havana couple of years ago while on cruise,,we were walking back to ship and saw this huge bar on a corner and there was a ten (at least) piece band playing, the place was packed and atmosphere looked great! So much want to find this bar when we go in December. Anyone any idea what it's called?!

If this was in St Francisco de Asisi Square, surely it will be right by the cruise terminal, which is to one side of the square, No band when we were there though.
Hi, can you please tell if there are any Tourist information centers and if there are, where are they situated. Thank you. Kathleen :)

Hi Kathleen, I don't know where you are staying in Havana but you can go to either the Parque Central Hotel or the Hotel Inglaterra. Both are located within minutes of each other right in the centre of Havana. If you go into either one of these hotels there is a very good company called Cubanacan. Their primary business is organising tours but they can also give you good advice on things to see and do in the city. I used them both times I visited Havana and found them really helpful. I hope this helps. Regards, Ola
