Hi and thanks for your question. Yes there is an Entrance Fee, it is $15.00 per person & is valid for 7 Days. However, if you intend to visit a few other parks in the next 12 Months, I recommend buying the 'America The Beautiful' Pass. It is well worth it. Due to Covid-19, there is limited access. The Island Trail & The Rim Trail are open 09:00 ~ 16:30. The trail to the ruins is closed. The Visitor Centre, Store & Restrooms are open 09:00 ~ 12:00 Then 13:00 ~ 16:30 & you will be required to wear a face mask. There are Rangers on duty to answer any questions. All visitors must exit the park by 16:30, and do not forget that Arizona DOES NOT use Daylight Saving Time, they are on Mountain Time All Year Round. I recommend taking a good pair of binoculars, or camera with a good zoom lens. You can then get a good view of some of the ruins from the Rim Trail. Hope this helps

I agree with the 2-3 hours response. If you can, do walk the whole way; the signage is excellent, it is so interesting, and it's very beautiful, too. It is also a terrific introduction to Native American life, since the Sinauguans were among the earliest. You can then compare these dwellings with those along the timeline. It is so interesting!
