This is a bit of the 'theme park' jazz club. The music (Esmeralda Spalding) was very good but I cannot overemphasise how much you are squashed in and not treated with any warmth or respect! You will …Full review by ChinaSaucer1

Went to see the amazing Harlem Gospel Choir. The experience was ruined by the venue. First thing to know is, they don't sell seats. It is first come, first served. If you want to sit, you must ar…Full review by kitchenwitch

Hi, we are a party of 2 looking to go in September on a Sunday or Monday night. How expensive are the drinks for a pint of lager and diet coke? Also, turn up 30 mins before? That seems to be ok. Also, is a table preferable to the bar? If so, reasons why please. Thanks.

Hi...going to see Ron Carter next weekend at the Blue Note. We've reserved a table, but I'd like a recommendation of where the best view would be. Never been there and I'd like to head in the right direction when they let the crowds in. Thanks in advance!

Hello - my husband and I have only been to the Blue Note to see Chris Botti and every show is packed beyond belief. We do not opt for Bar seating because you are assured of nothing. We buy the best tickets that we can afford and if you purchase through AmEx gold - you will get premium seating. Unfortunately, even with tickets - once you are admitted into the club - a worker takes you and seats you at a table so you really have no choice as to where you sit. We never order food there because for Botti we are packed into tables like sardines and I don't know how people actually eat. I'm sure it's a money maker for them but the smells when you're trying to sit and enjoy the music with a cocktail can be intrusive. Of course front center is the best seating but the sides are not bad - the only seats that are difficult are the tables that are located on the side and to the back sides of the stage. I do not know how the seating is done for other performers so it may not be as crowded and perhaps they will allow you to select your own seat - but for Botti - we have no choice in the selection. With all of that being said - the sound is great, the up close and personal feeling is unique and it has become part of our New Year's Day for the last several years now. I hope this helped - ENJOY !!!
