I read some of the reviews on here, are they correct that all the items in the museum are not originally from the movie? By that, I mean Maureen O Hara's and John Wayne's clothes. Are they just reproductions?

I am not sure. But, it was a delightful little museaum, and certainly had the "feel" of the story and village. Enjoy Ashford Castle while there!

Hi, not 100% sure of cost yet I think it was a wee bit expensive , perhaps €10? You pay upstairs in the gift shop and then go down stairs into the house. There is no tour .. basically you just walk around and it takes 5-10min. The only item in the house that is originally is the horses Bridal.

It is a great visit to the town and surrounding area's shooting locations. The actual tourist store (which is misleading in calling itself a museum) is not but sells a self-guide map showing all the many locations in the area where scenes were shot. Most other locations and the many shooting locations in the area and on both the self-guided walking tour and guided tour are. The location of White O'Morn is some distance away and you will need GPS coordinates to find the remains. Ashford castle and the trout fishing location are also accessible.
