Easy hike. One of the best in the Rio Grande Village area. There are plenty of parking spaces and restroom at the trailhead. The trail is easy and you get to see the towering canyon.Full review by minimize940314

So is there an entrance in particular in Big Bend that must be followed to go into the trail that takes you to Boquillas, Mexico? Is it close to a campsite in the American side? My family and I are new in Texas and are interested in exploring the area. Thanks in advance.

The Port of Entry that one must exit the USA from and return to the USA through to visit Boquillas, Mexico legally is located within Big Bend National Park and is very close to the campground and other park facilities known as Rio Grande Village.
Is it safe (enough) to cross over into Boquillas, Mexico? Everyone keeps saying Mexico is too dangerous right now, but since this area is so isolated, I'm not sure what to think...?
