There was pushback outside the federal building in Sacramento on Thursday as members of a local activist group say they were prohibited from attending a scheduled immigration hearing that is typically open to the public.

Federal authorities on Friday morning detained four more people attending hearings. “The fear that this is causing is real,” one immigration attorney said.

At least one person attending immigration court on Capitol Mall was detained by suspected ICE agents Thursday. Protesters gathered outside the locked building, decrying the Trump administration's recent enforcement tactics.
