It will be a quieter day for our Tuesday around central Indiana. Many communities are still trying to dig out from the heavy snow we received Sunday and Monday. You can see from the map below where the bands of heaviest snow fell versus the sharp cutoff in our northern counties.

Temperatures across the Houston area dipped just below freezing again on Tuesday morning—a sign that the wintry weather conditions are here to stay. And as the freezing temps continue to blast Texas,

It all starts Monday afternoon and evening with a cold front that will send rain and thunderstorms through the area.

Because global temperatures are warming, what’s considered normal is warming, too. So, when a 2025 cold snap is reported as the difference between the actual temperature and “normal,” it will appear to be colder and more extreme than if it were compared to an earlier 30-year average.

"Luckily for Florida, the cold front, although still strong, is weakening as it moves eastward. There is still the chance for some isolated intense storms on Monday, especially across the central and eastern portions of the Panhandle North Florida, through the western part of the I-4 corridor."

A cold front is making its way into the Coastal Empire and Low Country today, bringing showers, storms, and wind. This marks the arrival of the long-awaited arctic blast we’ve been talking about for the past week.

A dangerous winter storm has led to more than 2,000 flight cancelations nationwide, while also leaving thousands without power. Now, a deep freeze is setting in across much the country, with more snow still to come.
