Ricky Lamar Hawk, who saw viral fame as rapper Silentó with 'Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)', is sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter.

The 27-year-old Atlanta rapper, Silentó, whose legal name is Ricky Lamar Hawk, was sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to shooting Frederick Rooks III.

Silentó, known for his hit song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),” pleaded guilty but mentally ill to voluntary manslaughter and other charges in the 2021 shooting death of his cousin.
