Lively, known for her elegant and glamorous fashion choices at the annual event, has been attending the Met Gala since 2008. The last time Lively attended in 2022, she was one of four co-chairs who oversaw the event, alongside husband Ryan Reynolds, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Regina King.

For her Met Gala debut, Lively wore a black Ralph Lauren mermaid-style gown. The gown had black feathers on the bottom of the silhouette. Lively paired the look with black gloves, diamond bracelets and matching earrings.
