Steven Ogg, a Calgary native actor best known for his role in the popular TV series The Walking Dead, said he and his family evacuated to Ojai from South Pasadena. Their neighbourhood is still intact, he said in an email, but “Altadena and the Eaton Canyon fires have decimated that area which is 10 minutes from us.”

As wildfires spread throughout Los Angeles County, a number of sporting events have been canceled, postponed or otherwise impacted in the area.

The NFL is also paying close attention to the potential impact of the fires on the Rams and Chargers as they prepare for their postseason games.
