Winter storm warnings cover different parts of Utah, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming and Idaho, hugely affecting travel.

Steady rain will kick in at the beaches, and gusty southerly winds will start to roll up the Washington coast. By mid-day on Wednesday, the precipitation will fill into the Puget Sound Basin, then march up into the Cascades to yield heavy snow by early afternoon.

Many Utahns may experience a white Christmas through an incoming storm. The storm is expected to improve air quality and possibly deliver valley snow, especially in central and southern Utah.
