The White House is reportedly seeking concessions from Cornell, among several elite universities that the Trump administration says failed to prevent campus antisemitism, in exchange for resuming federal funding.

U.S. Education Secretary Linda McMahon told ABC News she is “incredibly pleased” with the $220 million deal with Columbia University after months of negotiations.

The latest: Today, Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-New York) requested the Trump administration give a closed-door briefing on the Jeffrey Epstein case files. More: Schumer criticized the administration’s lack of transparency, and pointed to a Wall Street Journal report that Justice officials told Trump his name was in the files.
