Jets quarterback Justin Fields returned to practice a day after being carted off the field and avoiding a more serious injury, the team said.

Justin Fields has returned to the practice field but didn't participate in drills. He dislocated a toe on his right foot on Thursday.

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn downplayed initial reports of the injury Justin Fields suffered during Thursday's practice by saying on Friday the quarterback will be "day-to-day" with a dislocated toe.
