Cyclone Dana begins landfall over Bengal, Odisha: India Meteorological Department
Kolkata/Bhubaneshwar/IBNS: The landfall process for the very severe cyclonic storm 'Dana', has commenced, the India Meteorological Department said on Thursday night with West Bengal and Odisha bracing for the effects of the same amid heavy rains and strong winds.

Cyclone Dana is starting to lose strength after wreaking havoc in the coastal area of the Indian states of Odisha and West Bengal. The cyclone began to make landfall around 11:30am on Thursday and had moved completely inland by dawn on Friday. The wind speeds were as high as 120 kmh at the time it made landfall, but have since eased.
