Temperatures in Massachusetts are expected to heat back up. Cape Cod won't be as bad as the rest of the state. Here's what to know.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for parts of Massachusetts starting Thursday, July 24, and Friday, July 25, lasting until 8 p.m. Friday. Most of Southern New England, except the coastline and the Berkshires, will be impacted.

Some relief from the heat arrives on Saturday, with a mainly dry day and temperatures cooling back down to the 80s for much of the state. The Conneticut River Valley should see temperatures in the high 80s, while it should stay cooler on the coast, with highs in the low 80s.
