Two undocumented immigrants have been federally charged in relation to the shooting of an off-duty CBP officer in Manhattan. The incident has reignited debate over NYC's sanctuary policies.

An off-duty U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agent was shot in a New York park on Saturday, footage shows. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) named Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, a citizen of the Dominican Republic, as one of the suspects.

The officials also faulted Mayor Eric Adams of New York, where the shooting occurred, and promised to flood the city with federal agents who would search for undocumented migrants.
