Naomi Osaka might be more comfortable on grass courts these days but she will once again leave Wimbledon in the third round after a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 loss to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Osaka was in a strong position after taking the first set, but her bid to finally make the last 16 imploded as Pavlyuchenkova mounted a comeback.

Six of Osaka's last seven defeats have been in three sets, with the four-time Grand Slam champion closer than ever to a return to form.
