Naomi Osaka’s quest to get past the third round at Wimbledon for the first time in her career ended on Friday with a three-set loss to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Naomi Osaka might be more comfortable on grass courts these days but she will once again leave Wimbledon in the third round after a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 loss to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

In the midst of her best Wimbledon run since 2018, Naomi Osaka came up short. Osaka was eliminated in the third round of the tournament Friday in a match against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
