The super lightweight fight between Jack Catterall and Regis Prograis exploded into life once both fighters started to realise their overthinking was making it hard to separate them, writes Elliot Wor

Catterall competed for the second time of 2024 after previously avenging his lone career defeat with a unanimous decision over Josh Taylor in May. Prograis, a former WBC super lightweight champion, was on the hunts for redemption after dropping his belt with a lopsided loss to Devin Haney this past December.

“Jack was the better man,” said the New Orleans native Prograis (29-3, 24 KO), who was knocked down twice in the ninth round of the 12-round bout and could do little to rally thereafter. “I think trying to go 12 rounds is too much for me." He also signaled this could be his last fight.
