The third big update for Star Wars Outlaws is finally here with promised improvements to stealth, NPC AI, and more. Unfortunately, the patch has also messed up how the game looks on PlayStation 5, with players reporting screen tearing issues that break the immersion of its normally gorgeous-looking open worlds.

The latest update for Star Wars Outlaws delivers performance optimizations, bug fixes, and other tweaks to the Ubisoft-published title.

Ubisoft pushed game update 1.3.0 live for Star Wars Outlaws in recent hours, ostensibly to continue improving the game's stealth mechanics. Unfortunately, a PS5 screen tearing bug also made its way in, with players quickly noticing the telltale "rippling" effect while the game is in motion and navigating menus.

Ubisoft has released Star Wars Outlaws Title Update 1.3.0, which makes a number of significant changes to the game. Check out the patch notes.

For speeder travel, the developer says it is "reducing collisions" with objects in the environment through this patch. A notorious bug in Outlaws, speeder travel could often result in Kay Vess experiencing low-orbit travel when she was flung from her vehicle while traveling on a seemingly safe route.

Update 1.3.0 also works to make riding your speeder a better experience, as now you shouldn't collide with objects quite as much. Star Wars Outlaws Update 1.003 is now out for Patch 1.3.0! This brings a load of fixes though the 242H issues are still not fixed.

I'm on the record as a Star Wars Outlaws defender. The galaxy far, far away is in a bizarre place right now, but when this current moment becomes a long, long time ago, Massive Entertainment's open-world game will still stand as one of the best Star Wars games ever made.
