A surprising WWE Superstar and former World Champion has been given credit for helping secure the WWE-TNA multi-year partnership.

WWE and TNA Wrestling are officially in business together. On Thursday, the two professional wrestling companies announced a multi-year partnership. The partnership firmly establishes the two companies' existing working relationship.

Judging by the announcement, it sounds like it will mostly be WWE NXT stars and TNA stars that crossover. Still, this agreement grants access to “key” WWE and TNA programming, including NXT, TNA IMPACT!, and “select” PLEs and PPVs.

WWE’s renewed vigor for inter-promotional relationships will continue as ESPN reported Thursday they will continue to work with TNA via NXT and perhaps some main roster appearances as well.
