Volkswagen has just unveiled a pair of electric concepts inspired by the long-defunct International Harvester Scout off-roader. And if everything goes to plan the battery-powered Traveler SUV and Terra truck will go into production later this decade. Volkswagen’s revived Scout brand has revealed the Traveler SUV and Terra pickup. Both models are expected to start from under $60,000 when they hit the road in 2027. BEV versions will have up to 350 miles of range while the EREV will be good for over 500 miles.

The Rivian R1T has between 270 and 420 miles of EPA-rated range, depending on the battery pack and the number of motors. The Scout Terra will have up to 350 miles of electric range, according to the automaker.
