Netflix has officially renewed Wednesday for a highly anticipated Season 3 and is working on a spinoff just weeks ahead of the show's Season 2 premiere. On Wednesday, July 23, showrunner Alfred Gough and Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria announced the renewal,

They hinted at the plot of season three, saying, “This time, she’ll unearth more of the school’s sinister secrets—and descend even deeper into the Addams family crypt. Or, as Wednesday would say: ‘Nothing brings a family together like a good exhumation.’”

Despite season 2 of Wednesday not yet airing on our screens, Netflix is confident enough in the series to have already given it the green light for a third season.
