Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a decent bit longer than previous Yakuza spin-off Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has said. In an interview with Famitsu translated by Game Rant,

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will plunder PS5 and PS5 ports from 21st February, starring the undeniably charismatic antagonist Goro Majima this time around. It will also be quite a bit longer than the Kiryu-centric Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, as much as one-and-a-half times the length.

Showcased during Xbox’s Partner Preview event on Thursday, RGG Studio’s latest and potentially its wackiest entry into the Like A Dragon saga, Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will now launch a week earlier than previously stated.

During the latest Xbox Partner Showcase, Sega and RGG Studio put out a new trailer for Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii and highlighted the ship-based combat. This is the upcoming spinoff game in the Yakuza / Like A Dragon franchise staring long-time character Goro Majima.

Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will hit stores a week earlier than initially announced. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the game’s developer, stated that the early release was due to its smooth development. The game will introduce Goro Majima as a pirate lord and return to the action style used in previous titles in the franchise.
