Or an alien? Who knows! In any case, anytime there is a new Alex Garland film out, you can bet that I am in. That it is A24 is just a bonus. What a year we are getting from them on the horror side.

Right now, the only place to watch Men is in a movie theater when the film opens in theaters on May 20 in the U.S, and in more theaters in the U.K. on June 1. You can find a showing near you here.

Alex Garland is an author turned writer (author of The Beach, screenwriter of Sunshine, 28 Days Later, and Dredd) turned director of brainy-yet-visceral sci-fi like Ex Machina and Annihilation.

And Garland, like a coroner performing an autopsy, surveys his specimen with clinical rigor, gallows humor and the faintest hint of sorrow. Men are the worst. But “Men” is still something to see.
