Microsoft recently announced the general availability (GA) of Azure SQL Database External REST Endpoint Integration – an ability to call a REST endpoint natively from Azure SQL Database.

Copilot for Azure SQL Database has limited private preview and no pricing information. Microsoft has indicated to me that this will be a paid offering but has offered no pricing model.

Microsoft today announced the general availability of the open source Data API builder (DAB), which provides REST and GraphQL endpoints for Azure databases, some three years in the making.

Designed to run on premises, at the edge, and in the cloud, Data API builder is an open source tool targeting five different databases: Azure SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cosmos DB.
