Dodgers owner Mark Walter will assume a controlling interest of the team; Jeanie Buss will remain in the governor role

The Buss family is nearing an agreement to sell majority ownership of the Los Angeles Lakers to Mark Walter, the CEO of TWG Global and owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, sources familiar with the deal told NBCLA on Wednesday.

The Los Angeles Lakers shattered records on Wednesday with their $10 billion sale.  The Buss family struck a deal to sell controlling ownership of the iconic NBA franchise to Mark Walter in a deal that carries a valuation of approximately $10 billion.
