The Athletic reported earlier in the week that the Mavericks had a dream of pairing Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant with their current core of Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving. SNY's Ian Begley is taking that one step further, saying the Mavs were actively engaged in talks on Wednesday, trying to make it happen.

According to Five Reasons Sports, the Heat have entered the Kevin Durant sweepstakes. As Miami looks to find a new home for Jimmy Butler, the front office has inquired about the availability of Durant. The Golden State Warriors have also been involved in conversations surrounding a reunion with Durant or a potential trade for Butler.
