Israel launched its first attack on Beirut's southern suburbs since the ceasefire announcement, targeting Hadath on Friday afternoon following an evacuation warning issued by the army spokesperson, Avichay Adraee.

Israel launched an airstrike on Beirut for the first time since a U.S.-backed cease-fire took effect in November, amid growing frustrations among some American officials about the Lebanese government’s slow progress in disarming Hezbollah in the country’s south.

Israel said it was targeting a building in the Dahiyeh suburb used by Hezbollah to store drones, after early morning rockets were fired from southern Lebanon toward northern Israel on Friday.
