King Charles and Queen Camilla used their Italian trip for some sightseeing. On Tuesday afternoon, they visited the ancient Colosseum in Rome.

Charles and Camilla are visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, located within the Victor Emmanuel II Monument, before heading to the Colosseum, where they will be meeting schoolchildren.

At the Colosseum, shouts of "Carlo" could be heard from the crowds as the King and Queen met tourists visiting the historic monument. The state visit is part of the UK's efforts to reinforce its links with its European allies.
