Jayson Tatum hit for 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the visiting Boston Celtics easily handled the San Antonio Spurs 121-111 on Saturday while producing their season-best eighth straight victory.

Tatum had been playing some of the best basketball of his career before suffering the injury on Monday night amid Boston’s eight-game winning streak. The superstar forward made a candid admission about the injury itself that had him on the floor in pain for multiple minutes after he went down following landing on Domantas Sabonis’ foot.

They are led by star forward Jayson Tatum, who has established himself as one of the better players in the league today. But even with the playoffs looming, Tatum has been paying attention to the ongoing NCAA Tournament.
