Arkhamverse Batman, who was previously executed by Harley Quinn in a hugely controversial plot turn, shows up in the finale of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Less than a year after it launched, the story of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been concluded with the game's final update. Along with an offline mode, several new Libra-themed weapons, and tweaks,

Warner Bros. struck out with both Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: KTJL, but that shouldn't spell the end of DC ensemble games.

That’s right: with Kill the Justice League Season 4, Episode 8’s last, motion comic-style cutscene, Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Games handwave most of the game’s DC superhero deaths. It turns out the Justice League members that Harley Quinn and her pals wiped out were clones all along.

The cutscene is narrated by Harley Quinn, who tells the story of how she and the Suicide Squad entered Brainiac's lair only to find Superman alive and well (and, notably, not Brainiac-possessed). It turns out that the evil Justice League wiped out in the main story were just clones.
