A deputy-involved shooting left a prisoner dead at HCA Kingwood Hospital. HPD Captain Hassig said a deputy and prisoner got into an altercation and began to scuffle over the deputy's gun.

It happened at the hospital along the Eastex Freeway at Kingwood Drive. Police said a 34-year-old man was taken into custody on "numerous felony charges" and during his arrest, he was injured.
