Los Angeles Police Arrests Suspect for Laser Strike on an LAPD Helicopter During Street Takeover in Gardena
February 12, 2025 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the Central Traffic Division's Street Racing Task Force has made an arrest in connection with an incident involving the discharge of a laser at an LAPD airship.

The LAPD had earlier called the demonstration peaceful ... for a person who they claim shot a firework at them and their helicopter that was monitoring the situation from overhead.
It was also a touching moment when an LAPD helicopter was seen flying overhead to say thank you. Thank you to all the volunteers at the L.A. Dream Center and the nonprofit for doing Something Good.
