Professional women’s basketball returns Friday as the Unrivaled league kicks off its inaugural season — and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese will be at the center of it all as she makes her debut with Rose Basketball Club.

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese made her Unrivaled debut on Friday with the Rose BC, and she didn't waste her time scoring her first bucket for the team. Reese actually scored Rose BC's first basket against Vinyl BC, fooling Dearica Hamby with a pump fake under the basket before scoring off the glass for the easy two.

After what has felt like years of waiting, the Unrivaled 3x3 women's basketball league is finally upon us. The first two games of Unrivaled's inaugural season tip-off on Friday, January 17. The first game is between Mist BC (which is led by Unrivaled co-founder and 2024 WNBA Champion Breanna Stewart) and Lunar Owls BC (which is led by Stewart's fellow Unrivaled co-founder Napheesa Collier).

Using data from the past three WNBA seasons, ESPN's Kevin Pelton ranked the six Unrivaled clubs based on projected win percentage. Napheesa Collier's Lunar Owls were the "clear favorites" with a .604 projected win percentage, while Rose was projected dead last at .418.
