For once, it felt like a platform reveal that wasn’t just building hype. It was actually earning it. Between long-requested sequels and bold new IPs, Nintendo made it clear that the Switch 2 is launching with purpose. There were gameplay demos, fresh trailers, and a few genuine surprises that kept the momentum going from start to finish.

Nintendo Switch 2 launch games are set to include a PS1 classic from 1995 when the new Nintendo console releases this June.

At the moment, we know of around 20 new and old games that will be available on launch day. So far Nintendo has only confirmed two first-party launch titles for Switch 2: A new Mario Kart and a weird Switch 2 tutorial game that looks like something that should be included for free (but won’t be).
