Bird flu has been detected in New Braunfels, according to Texas Parks & Wildlife. This marks the second detection of bird flu in Central Texas this year.

Bird flu kills 22 Texas vultures, spurring warning about virus
Texas Parks and Wildlife said the most recent infected birds came from Landa Park in New Braunfels. In total, 22 vultures died: 19 were dead when staff received the initial report and three were euthanized. Three waterfowl of an unknown species were also found dead.

Disease experts indicate HPAI is circulating among wild birds in Texas as waterbirds and waterfowl visit their wintering grounds.
