The Mummy (1999) is an action/adventure/fantasy film directed by Stephen Sommers that stars Brendan Fraser as the dashing Rick O'Connell, an adventurer who always manages to get into trouble.

The film, which starred Fraser as Professor Trevor Anderson, had a similar method of combining action with comedy, and the actor's character was just as charming as The Mummy's Rick O'Connell.
