On Tuesday night, a proposal from students was put before the Central Student Government that could create a second fight song for the school, Lea Giotto of The Michigan Daily reports.
The song dates back to 1898, after a Michigan football team finished out the school’s first undefeated season against Chicago, 12-11. The song’s history is as rich as the Michigan fan base.
