Alexander Ortiz, 21, was arrested by Albuquerque police last February in connection with the fatal shooting of his ex-girlfriend, Alianna Farfan, according to a news release.

Ortiz was apprehended in February last year following a brief stand-off with police in southeast Albuquerque. He is alleged to have murdered Alianna at her apartment on January 11, 2024.
