The looming tsunami threat in Hawaii has ended after a powerful earthquake in Russia prompted warnings in multiple countries on Sunday, July 20, local outlet Hawaii News Now reported.

Earlier on July 17, the Alaska Peninsula was struck by another major earthquake measuring 7.3 magnitude on the Richter Scale.
