The Timberwolves shored up some depth for their push for the playoffs by signing breakout guard Jaylen Clark to a new contract that makes him eligible for the postseason and signing guard Bones Hyland to a two-way deal.

Clark, chosen by Minnesota in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft, had been playing on a two-way deal meant for players bouncing between the G-League and the NBA. He tore his Achilles in his final collegiate season at UCLA and spent most of his rookie season rehabbing.

The Timberwolves have reached a two-year deal with two-way guard Jaylen Clark and also will be picking up free agent guard Bones Hyland, their agents told ESPN.
