HONOLULU – Two people who were swept out to sea by a large wave on the North Shore of Oahu have died, authorities in Honolulu have confirmed.The incident took place Monday morning at Ke Iki beach.
The incident occurred just after 8 a.m. on Monday at Ke Iki Beach in Pupuke, on the north shore of Oahu; a stretch of beach that does not have a lifeguard tower.
According to Honolulu Ocean Safety, the tragedy happened on Oahu’s North Shore at Ke Iki Beach Monday morning when the waves were 6 to 8 feet high.
