Jeep-maker Stellantis​ is idling production at plants in Canada and Mexico and will temporarily lay off 900 workers in the Midwest.

Stellantis plants that make Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge vehicles will see production paused. U.S. workers whose plants support them will be affected.

After Donald Trump’s auto tariffs hit Canada, Stellantis informed its local union it would shut down its Windsor plant for two weeks, putting 4,500 people out of work.
