A spokesperson for The View responded by claiming that it is “up in total viewers and women 18-49, versus the comparable weeks last season, to its most-watched in four years,” adding that “season to date, The View is ranking No. 1 in households and total viewers among all network daytime talk shows and news programs for the fifth straight season.”
MAGA excitement for the potential cancellation of the show is not without encouragement from Trump’s administration. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr refused to deny on Fox News that The View is in Trump’s “crosshairs,” saying on Wednesday that “the consequences” for Behar’s verbal insults of the president “aren’t quite finished.”
The hosts are taking their annual summer vacation, which means repeat episodes of The View will air on ABC. Friday, July 25, marked the last new episodes of Griffin, Behar, Navarro, Haines, and Goldberg at the iconic table for a while.
