Bands pay tribute prior to final performances from Ozzy Osbourne and reunited Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England

Black Sabbath are playing their final show today at the Back To The Beginning festival, and all the bands are paying tribute to them during their sets. In addition to Tool covering “Hand Of Doom,” Metallica performed two Black Sabbath songs and Guns N’ Roses tackled four.

Back to the Beginning blow-out final show honoring Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath, the Prince of Darkness had never met Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose. Despite both men being hard rock royalty, their paths had somehow never crossed.

Black Sabbath's final performance raised £140m for charity, according to the event's musical director Tom Morello. Morello, who is also the guitarist for Rage Against The Machine, revealed the figure in a post on Instagram.

By now it's a recognised fact that Black Sabbath’s final gig – the Back To The Beginning metal mega-gig from Birmingham’s Villa Park on July 5 featuring a host of huge names – was an unprecedented success.
