Arkansas freshman linebacker Jayden Shelton, who enrolled in January, has been named the Dallas Morning News Defensive Player of the Year. Shelton, 6-1 and 200 pounds, helped lead Dallas South Oak Cliff to the 5A Division II state title game in December. He led the Bears to state titles in 2021 and 2022.

DALLAS COUNTY, Ark. – A crash on Highway 167 between Sheridan and Fordyce in Dallas County has blocked all lanes. According to a crash report from the Arkansas Department of Transportation, the crash was first reported at 2:49 p.m. and crews are still currently working the crash site as of 8 p.m.
