A trade pitch would see the Minnesota Vikings flip rookie QB J.J. McCarthy to the Giants in return for a first-round pick and then some.

As Kiper and host Evan Canty were discussing the Vikings' potential plans with Sam Darnold, the long-time draft expert suggested McCarthy would be on the trade block. Asked whether the Giants should trade the No. 3 pick to Minnesota for McCarthy, Kiper gave an emphatic yes.

The Giants are 9-25 since that playoff victory, including 3-14 this year. However, they managed to win a game in Week 17 over the Indianapolis Colts that did just enough to knock New York into the No. 3 overall pick in a draft class with only two QBs who have first-round grades.
